AAHA Goes to the Zoo: Florida Is Home to the Only Accredited Zoo

The nonprofit ZooTampa at Lowry park in Tampa, Florida, is home to more than 1,300 animals on 65 acres and has approximately one million visitors each year. It is also the only AAHA-accredited zoo hospital in the world. It’s cutting-edge veterinary facilities allow the zoo’s staff to care for panthers, manatees, elephants, and other zoo animals.
